THE 10th ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING IN EMERGENCY NURSING INDONESIAN EMERGENCY AND DISASTER NURSES ASSOCIATION – IEDNA

BACKGROUND

The World Health Organisation (WHO) on March 11, 2020 declared COVID-19 as a pandemic with more than 118,000 cases over 110 countries around the world. The pandemic has led to a dramatic death and brings unprecedented challenges to public health, economic, and social life. Using the Spanish flu pandemic as a model, experts suggested that the COVID-19 pandemic may last for another two or three years. Stringent measures and policy have been put in-place by the government across countries to minimise the spread of virus and help the country to recover.

Changes need to be done across sectors, including nursing services in the emergency department, in response to current unprecedented times. While responding to COVID-19, emergency department must continue to provide services for non-COVID cases.

AIMS

The aim of this seminar is to improve understanding on how to build resilience of emergency department nurses in the time of COVID-19 pandemic through lesson learned from different countries.

DELEGATES

The seminar will be attended by delegates from at least 30 nursing organisations from different countries. The participants come from different working area of nursing, such as intra-hospital, pre-hospital, university, and research. Other delegates include:

  1. Other healthcare professionals
  2. Providers of emergency training
  3. Policy decision makers and stakeholders on emergency services

TIME AND METHOD

Time : 10:00 – 14:00 Western Indonesian Time 

Method : Video conference system via Zoom
